From dark and dated to light and timeless, this once heavy stone fireplace got a fresh transformation with a German schmear to soften the mortar and a custom limewash to enhance the stone. We did a custom tint to enhance the natural coloration of the stone without overly lightening its appearance, blending it well to to the rest of the room. It's still missing a mantel, but it feels so much lighter and fresher.
